Narrative Concept Design Document of Yojimbo: The Game,
Expanding on the existing narrative world of the 1961 classic samurai film Yojimbo by Akira Kurosawa.
To transform from the traditional medium of film into an interactive narrative experience, my partner and I designed it into a 3D Adventure game, emphasizing on Exploration, Dialogue and Quick Time Action.
The decisions players made through gameplay will not only alter the outcome of events and relationships between characters,
but also where the protagonist lies on the 2-Dimentional spectrum of Mercifulness and Socialness, which is ultimately used to determine the ending of the story (See page 9).
